I absolutely love me a flirty little floral dress during the Spring, and I cannot WAIT til it’s safe for us to resume normal every day life and go outside again. I found this floral chiffon dress at H&M back in January when I was looking for an outfit to wear to go out for a friend’s birthday. I winded up wearing something else that night (the temps dropped and I was not about to wear strappy heels in 30 degree weather), but I’m glad that I got it because it’s one of those dresses where you instantly feel cute when you put it on.
When Carmeon and I attended the MENT Event in Oxford, I took it with me just in case we decided to go out that night after the conference. We ended up grabbing dinner and crashing instead, BUT we had a brunch to go to the next morning before we headed back and I ended up wearing it to that. To make it more appropriate for day, I paired it with my favorite light wash distressed denim jacket (you really don’t know how much you need one of these until you finally get it and it goes with everything) and my favorite pair of white ankle booties.
I now own 4 pair of white booties (I have a problem, I know), but these are by far my favorite. The shape of the toe makes all of the difference in the world, and the short block heel gives you a little bit of lift but are still comfortable to walk around in. The location of the brunch that we were attending was a 20 minute walk away and I was able to do it both ways without my feet felling like they were on fire, lol. That’s an A+ in my book!
Anywhoo, I absolutely adore this dress because of its shape (it’s long sleeve and the nipped in waist helps to create the illusion that I have one), and I want more like it this season. Dark florals have always made me happy, and I really enjoy dresses that can be switched up based on footwear and accessories. If I wanted to make this edgier, I could easily slip on a black moto jacket and black leather boots, but I could also make it really casual with a pair of Converse. Here’s hoping that I’ll also be able to wear it with a pair of strappy heels for a date night soon too!
If you’re looking for some cute spring dresses for when we can go outside again as well, here are a few I’ve found around the web.

I’m pretty particular when it comes to colors and the size of the print but I’m ok with some florals. Your dress is super cute!

I’m the same way. it has to be a certain way in order for me to bring it home.
