I told myself that I wasn’t going to drink the influencer kool-aid and get new lounge wear, but over the weekend I couldn’t resist. While I was in Walmart picking up some more produce and toiletries, I stopped in their women’s active section just to look around and see what they had in store. I remembered seeing Megan (PIPMegan; she’s also in Memphis) wearing a lounge set from their Secret Treasures line in her IG stories recently, so I wanted to see what selections they had in store.
Lounge wear has never been anything that I really invested in. I mean I buy PJs and cute gowns, but sweats and things like that? Chiiile, I only own 2 pairs of tennis shoes (and one is for working out) so that should tell you that that type of clothing has never been a priority for me, lol. I’m tired of throwing on workout leggings and rotating the few sweatshirts so I have, though, so I bit the bullet and decided to get some. Thankfully, they had some really cute ones in stock that I actually liked!
The reason why I specifically looked at this line is because the quality is actually pretty nice, but they’re still really affordable as well. I don’t knock anyone that can afford to do it (you do you boo!), but I am just not in a place financially where I can drop $60 per piece on stuff like this. The price point of their pieces are accessible (they average between $10-$20), and you can mix and match their collections so you can get a lot of use out of them. They’re also designed to be worn out the house if needed, so if I have to run an errand but didn’t want to look like a slob or change into “real” clothes, I can throw one of these sets on and not think twice about it. And they’re soft. Did I mention they were soft? They’re that loose, soft cotton that glides across the skin instead of that stiff, heavy cotton that’s hot and unforgiving.
Anyhoo, if you’re shopping online, some of the sets are sold together (not really sure why they did that because I like the option to be able to be able to mix and match and put my own look together), but if there’s a Super Walmart near you, pop over to the women’s section the next time you have to make a grocery run (just make it quick and keep up social distancing!).
I bought 3 different sets to test out to see how much I like them, but I’m definitely going to get a few more down the line because they’re really comfy. My tip with sizing: stick with your regular sizing or size up if you want them to be extra slouchy.
