For the last few weeks I’ve reeeally been focused on getting my apartment how I want it to be. Working with interior designers is both intimidating and inspiring because you learn so much about how a room can come together, but on the flip side, you realize how much work you have to do to your own place if you really want to cultivate a space that you truly love. I’ve learned that less is more, and that knowing how to scale your key items appropriately to the space that it’s in will make a huge difference in how things look. You won’t need a ton of filler or smaller decorative items when your rug is the proper size for your coffee table and console. Also, adding in greenery (faux or real) around your home will bring new life to a space, so definitely look into adding that in as well.
Anyhoo, if you’re looking to update your home as well (no better time than now since some of us are at home), here’s a round up of some affordable home decor finds.
