Last month I had the pleasure of attending my first virtual launch event with Giorgio Armani Beauty for their new Neo Nude Foundation. To celebrate the launch of the new foundation, we had a masterclass with celebrity makeup artist Kayleen McAdams to learn about the new launch and be one of the first to test out the new formula.
The Giorgio Armani Neo Nude True-To-Skin Natural Glow Foundation is an ultra-lightweight, skincare-infused foundation that delivers a natural healthy-looking glow, all-day hydration, with light-buildable coverage. It has skin-loving ingredients like hyaluronic acid and glycerin (these deliver all-day hydration), while emollient oils and pure pigments bring comfort and coverage to reveal naturally beautiful skin. If you’re someone that loves a natural looking beat that still let’s your skin shine, this foundation is designed for you.
In addition to receiving the foundation, we received these products to help us complete our looks during the master class:
- Eyes to Kill Classic Mascara
- Eye Tint Liquid Eyeshadow
- Ecstasy Balm
- A-Highlight Liquid Highlighter
- A-Blush Liquid Blush
- A-Contour Complexion Enhancer
- Maestro Sculpting Powder Brush
- Neo Nude Compact (used as a bronzer)
The Neo Nude Foundation is very similar to a tinted moisturizer, but is much more lightweight IMO. You can build up coverage with it, but I like that it dries down to a glowy but natural finish, whereas tinted moisturizers can feel heavier (and sometimes a little too moisturizing, especially if you have oily/combination skin like me). During the master class Kayleen had us to apply it with our fingers, which was very different for me, but you can still use a sponge or foundation brush. Applying it with your fingers helps to warm it up and melt into your skin, so I’m not opposed to doing it that way. They didn’t send us any concealer so I had to mix in my own because I have dark circles, but if you don’t have that issue, you can just add a little more under your eyes for extra coverage. Your skin looks fresh and dewy but still like skin, which is perfect for super hot days.
After foundation, we applied the rest of the products. Since we were doing a “no-makeup” makeup look, we continued to use our fingers; this was a different approach for me as well because I’m so used to the precision that you get with brush application, but this actually works well with this type of look. We only used a brush to apply the Neo Nude Compact Powder.
This is the first time I’ve done a “no makeup” makeup look that I actually liked. My skin was glowing and it just looked healthy; you could tell there was something on my face, but it was softly done and blended seamlessly. For days when I have to run errands but still want a lil somethin extra on my face, these products are perfect for that.
