I don’t know about ya’ll but I’m ready for Fall. It’s my favorite time of year for both style and beauty, so when the temps drop even just a few degrees, my mind starts signaling a countdown, lol. As part of Ulta’s #UBCollective, I get to test out products, and this time around I’m amping up my makeup for a Soft Glam look to help me get ready for Fall.
I pretty much keep my base routine (foundation/concealer/powder/bronzer) the same year round, but Fall is the time of year when I get a lot more playful with my makeup. It’s so much easier to play in products without worrying about your makeup sliding off your face, so I always try to find a new shadow palette to use. For the look that I’m wearing, I’m using Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette, an everyday to night palette with fourteen shades, including essential mattes and glam shimmers. I own a few ABH Palettes (I even still have the one that AmRezy created yeeeears ago when partnering with Influencers was a new thing), and what I really like about their palettes is how a little goes a long way with their formulas. They’re well pigmented, but not so much that they’re hard to manipulate, and they do a great job of creating color palettes that allow you to be able to create different looks without having to pull from others. I can’t do those super colorful cut crease/beat eye looks, BUT, I do know how to layer shadows to add dimension and enhance my eyes. All of the shades can be worn alone as single eye looks or layered together, which makes this a versatile palette for Fall.
In addition to the palette, I used Too Faced Damn Girl! 24-Hour Mascara (can’t believe I’m saying this but I may like this better than their Better Than Sex Mascara!), Urban Decay Cosmetics Brow Blade Waterproof Eyebrow Pencil & Ink Stain (this is BOMB + may replace my E.L.F. Ultra Precise Brow Pencil), florence by mills Cheek Me Later Cream Blush (a pretty berry color that blends + layers beautifully on the cheeks) and KKW Beauty Red Crème Lipstick (crazy pigmented and so soft on the lips but doesn’t slide everywhere) for my Soft Glam look.
So I love wearing more dramatic makeup whenever I feel like it, but you can easily change out the lips for a softer pink or nude and lighten up the shadows for a softer eye look as well if that’s more your thing. I almost added a winged liner and lashes but decided to skip it because unless I was going out to a club, I wouldn’t wear them anyway.
All in all, I’m amped for Fall and can’t wait for it to actually get here!
