You ever find yourself reaching for the same pieces in your closet over and over and over again? The minute I tried on this floral maxi dress from Old Navy, I knew that I was going to live in it, lol. I’ve been a fan of floral maxis, well any style really, in general for a while, but I love the retro feel that this one has. Dark florals have always been my jam, and now that Fall is here, I’ll be able to trade in my sandals for some cool ankle booties and long duster cardigans to wear with it instead. It has such a comfortable fit, and it’s been a go-to for client shoot days when I need to look put together but not try too hard.
Some people shy away from maxi dresses because they feel like they can overpower them, but I’m here to tell you, even shorties can rock them. I tend to look for styles that have some form of structure to them, whether it be a nipped in waist, or the material itself. If the shape is looser, I’ll size down so that it removes some of the volume and length without having to get it altered.
I will be living in this one all Fall (I’ve worn it too many times to count and may or may not be wearing it when this post goes live, haha), and I’m linking some more floral maxi styles from Old Navy down below.
