With temps currently in the upper 90s, it’s kind of hard to believe that Fall will be here in just a few weeks. It is still VERY hot here, so keeping it cool in really cute pieces is a delicate balance that I chase, and luckily midi dresses have been my saving grace.
When I picked up this Floral-Print Midi Dress from Old Navy, it was actually a last minute grab; I was headed to a birthday dinner at an Italian restaurant and I wanted to change into something that felt a little more romantic and jhooshed up (but not too much). I loved the ruffled sweetheart neckline, and the smocked waist detail helped to give an illusion of a slightly smaller waist.
I thought the muted floral design was so pretty, and the midi-length was perfect for my height. I added a little extra statement with the earrings and neutral sandals and bag, but it honestly doesn’t need a lot. It’s just one of the those dresses that’s really versatile and can be worn so many different ways.
We’re nearing the end of Summer, but because of the pattern and shape, I can wear this into Fall, transitioning it for colder weather with a heavier mule bootie or sneaker, and layering a jacket or easy cardigan over it. It’s lightweight, but I won’t have to pack it up juuuuuuust yet.
Fall style, I’m ready for you.
