While I was in Philly, I stopped in the M.A.C. store and picked up a few new products one of the days that we went out exploring. In addition to new blush, and concealer, I also picked up the most gorgeous fuchsia matte lipstick, All Fired Up, and decided to go for a bold lip with glowy skin the next day that we went out.
M.A.C. products are not new to me, so my “new” products where actually revisits to ones that I used years ago (don’t we always go back to what we love). I love their Pro Longwear Concealer (it gives great coverage and blends out nicely) and their Studio Fix Fluid Foundation has buildable coverage with a natural matte finish, so I decided to restock them to be my main face products for Fall.
9/10 I will be wearing a liquid lipstick or a matte lipstick, and their Ruby Woo is my all-time favorite red, so I decided to pick up this shade as an alternative to red for when I want to go really bold. I always go for a bronze/glowy look with skin regardless of the season, but didn’t want to do my usual nude lip, so this was perfect.
The key to keeping the look glowy is to go light on powder (since the foundation has a matte finish you don’t have to worry so much about shine unless you are extremely oily), and to break out a warm, golden highlighter. Funnily enough, I actually stopped wearing highlighter for a few months because I was over the look of it, but since picking up the one I have now from Becca, I’ve really enjoyed adding it back into the mix. just a touch is all you need.
