Everyone knows I live for a floral print dress, and a dark floral midi dress takes it over the top. Some people are hesitant to wear midi dresses (especially if they are short), but I absolutely adore them. I think they are such a flattering style and so lady-like. I also like the fact that dependent on the cut, you will have a lot of versatility with your shoes and accessories as well.
Over the last year I’ve really gotten into the ditsy floral style (small-scale scatter prints), so when I saw this dress I grabbed it without even thinking twice about it. It’s a sweet pattern to play with, and now that it’s cooler I can also layer it under a leather or suede moto jacket for a bit of edge, or a long/grandpa cardigan in a contrasting shade like cream, light grey or tan for a look that feels more romantic.
This particular style can also be belted, so I have a lot of options for how I can style it, which is great. I can wear this to brunch, on a date, to a meeting, etc. Versatility is the name of the game! I purchased this dress at Ross, but I also found a few cute ones from around the web in case you were looking for one as well.
