During our girls trip to Nashville last November, our primary “to-do” activity was a trip to the Omni Nashville Hotel, Mokara Salon & Spa and honey, a visit to the Spa at least quarterly is now a necessity.
While I do get the occasional facial, I’ve never made getting a massage a priority, but I will from now on. Our bodies hold on to so much tension and stress and it can really impact how we move, so getting a massage regularly would help to release stress, soothe muscles and alleviate any pain that I may have. The Omni Nashville Hotel, Mokara Salon & Spa is a full service spa, but when we were deciding which services we wanted to book for our spa day, I immediately picked their signature massage, because it’s been yeeeeears since I’ve had one. I carry tension in my shoulders, so I knew I needed it badly.
Refreshed and recharged.
When you first arrive, you change into one of their robes and slides, and then wait in their relaxation lounge for your appointment. They also have a sauna room that you can sit in, so before I went back before my massage, I went in there for about 10 minutes or so to detox a bit. Finally, I had my massage and OOF! It was just what I needed. I want to feel like you’re kneading bread on my back and stretching me out. I’ve never been a fan of those massages where they barely touch you-beat me up! Lol. That’s exactly what she did for those 50 minutes and I felt both relaxed and rejuvenated after.
While it was definitely a bit of indulgence since it was at a luxury spa, it was totally worth it. Now to find a good masseuse at home so that I can add them to my wellness routine and get them regularly.
