One of my goals for this year is to read more and scroll less (I was a ferocious reader growing up), so of course that means I’ve been stocking up on new books, lol. I like to read personal development books, and other books related to marketing, storytelling and content creation (it’s the blogger in me), but I also plan to throw in some fiction books from time to time, lol. Getting lost in a book does wonders for my creativity, so I really want to get back to doing that on a regular basis. I’m finally starting to dig into some of the books that I’ve already purchased and figured I’d share with you in case you were looking for something new to read this Spring as well.
The Fear-Fighter Manual: Lessons from a Professional Troublemaker by Luvvie Ajayi Jones
Untamed by Glennon Doyle | Buy Yourself the F*cking Lilies: And Other Rituals to Fix Your Life, from Someone Who’s Been There by Tara Schuster
The Lazy Genius Way: Embrace What Matters, Ditch What Doesn’t, and Get Stuff Done by Kendra Adachi
Girl Gurl Grrrl: On Womanhood and Belonging in the Age of Black Girl Magic by Kendra Hunt
There are some additional ones that I want to get through, but baby steps, baby steps.
The more I restructure my schedule, the more it will allow for more time for me to get back to reading daily, which is what I really want to get back to doing, even if it’s only 20-30 minutes a day. I know that it’s possible if I keep it on a schedule and stay focused.
