Goes to Paris one time, invests in pleated skirts.
I absolutely love to people watch when I travel, and I observed so much cool street style during my girl’s trip to Paris. Contrary to popular belief, the women don’t walk around in striped shirts wearing berets and ballet flats. While at one time that look may have been in style, you’re more likely to see a more edgy, minimalistic aesthetic nowadays. Their style is much more effortless, with their clothing grazing their bodies vs. being super oversized or tight.
Most wore black or soft, neutral color palettes-there weren’t a lot of florals or patterns to be seen. As a self-proclaimed floral dress queen, I noticed a few months ago that I stopped gravitating towards those styles as much, so I was especially intrigued by all of the Parisian street style. Dresses are easy and will always be a part of my wardrobe, but in order to have a little more versatility in my style, I’ve started investing in more solid colored separates, like this pleated skirt.
The pale blush tone is sweet but not saccharine sweet, so I paired it with a cream sweater and booties for a look that’s soft and feminine, but not too girly.
Just in case you’re wanting to add one to your wardrobe as well, I’m linking a few pleated skirts below.
This wasn’t my first pleated skirt, and it definitely won’t be my last. I’ve already added in a gorgeous metallic gray one that I can’t wait to wear with a black moto jacket, and I also have a few other outfit ideas I want to try around this one as well.

I love this. Such a pretty color. I recently purchased a green pleated skirt. I am tempted to wear it every week.
