A Signature Experience // Arrington Vineyards Nashville

During our girls trip to Nashville, we made plans to do a wine tasting at Arrington Vineyards, located about 25 miles south of Nashville. The beautiful winery sits on 95 acres and includes 16 acres of vineyards, five tasting rooms, gorgeous views, shaded picnic areas, and live music on weekends (April to November). We all love a great glass of wine, so any time we can book a trip to a winery, we’re doing it!

We were initially supposed to do their Premier Tasting Experience (this includes seasonally prepared small bites), but there was a mix-up with our reservations so we ended up doing the Signature Group Tasting, which was just as fun.

During the tasting, each person can try a selection of four White, Red, Mixed or Sweet wines. All of their wines are produced on-site at their winery, so they’re able to fully speak to the makeup of the wines.

If you’ve never done a tasting before, you will essentially smell the wine before sipping (every wine has specific aromatic notes), swirl and observe the color and clarity, then sip (be sure to swish around in your mouth to get the full flavor). If you don’t like something you’re trying, you can spit it out (everyone has a spit bucket), but if you enjoy it, drink up. They’re not designed to get you drunk, but you can get a little tipsy, so make sure you’re hydrated and eat something before you start!

Everyone’s palette is different, and therein lies the fun of going to a tasting with friends. Not only do you get to learn something new together, but you may also discover your new favorite wine (or 2!). It was a little too chilly for us to explore the grounds much the day we went but we all definitely want to go back when it’s warmer and have a picnic with our tasting.

It’s such a peaceful atmosphere, so it made for a perfect night of wine and laughter with good girlfriends.
