Beauty Buy | Afternoon Delight by REPLICA

I love switching up my perfume when the season starts to change, so now it’s time to break out Afternoon Delight, a warm, cozy and sweet REPLICA fragrance by Maison Margiela. I received it in a PR mailer last year when it was released, and the scent is kind of like sitting in a café in Paris with a pastry and coffee in front of you.

Key Notes: Madeline Accord, Sandalwood, Madagascar Vanilla

So it initially comes across very creamy with a soft vanilla base, but it’s not overly sweet. The sandalwood and madeleine notes keep it grounded and woodsy with a touch of spice (so it’s unisex), and it smells more sophisticated once it dries down. I’ve been wearing it on its own, but you can also layer it with other fragrances with similar or complimentary notes if you want to add a little more depth to it.

I’m not usually a big gourmand fragrance person, but once the temps start to drop, I start to reach for scents that are more vanilla-based, and Afternoon Delight is perfect for that since it gives off that cozy vibe I love for this time of year.
