Beauty Buy | Revlon PhotoReady™ Primers
A great primer has the ability to take “meh” beauty products to a whole other level. It can help foundation stay put, improve eyeshadow’s staying power, and basically give your face a much more polished look. Two primers that I will always keep in my (huge) makeup bag are Revlon’s PhotoReady™ Color Correcting and Perfecting Primers ($12 each).

Both are lightweight formulas that soften skin, minimize fine lines and wrinkles, and give skin a brighter, smoother complexion. The Color Correcting Primer has a lavender tint, which helps neutralize redness, and it’s best for those that have a dull cast on their skin. The Perfecting Primer has a pink tint, so it helps to brighten skin as well, but it’s really designed for those that want a poreless, smooth appearance.
If you prefer your foundation to have a dewy finish, I would’t recommend these: they dry relatively quickly and have a matte finish, so be sure that the foundation formula you’re using will pair well for optimal results. If you’re just looking for a primer to help your makeup last during the day (or a night out on the town), these definitely give you a big bang for your buck.
TIP:
Always, always, always exfoliate moisturize before you apply a primer. You don’t want your skin to be dry or flaky, so do these steps prior to application.
