I usually stay behind the scenes when I take pictures at events because I’m focused on getting the right shot, but when I attended the MFW EMDP Runway show last week I was feeling a little saucy and had someone take my picture before the night was over.
Tara Skelley’s Dilettante Collection closed out the EMDP Runway Shows at Memphis Fashion Week. A two-time EMDP Audience Award Winner, Tara always brings an unexpected element to her show.
This year sixteen (16!!) designer’s participated in the the Emerging Memphis Designer Project Runway Show at Memphis Fashion Week. All women (#GirlPower), the chosen designers showed anywhere from 1 to 5 pieces in their respective debuts.
The day of the EMDP Show is always my favorite for Memphis Fashion Week. Usually on this day, I can get there a little early and go backstage to check out hair + makeup. Since attending MFW for the first time 3 years ago, I’ve become quite friendly with so many of the people that are apart of the show; stylists, models, muas, designers, the list goes on.
Held at the beautiful Cadre Building in downtown Memphis, the Memphis Fashion Week Day 1 presentations included Spring/Summer Collections from J Brand Jeans, Faherty Brand, Abbey Glass, and Hayley Paige.
Thursday was the Fashion Fund Party at Saddle Creek, and this time around, not only was I there as media, but I was also selected to be one of the stylists!
Ain’t no party like a MFW party cause a MFW party don’t stop! Ok, that’s incredibly cheesy of me but ya’ll, I had SO much fun last night!
I shot with Stock + Belle a few weeks ago and one of my favorite looks from the shoot included these vertical striped pants from ASTR the Label.
Last night was the kickoff party for Memphis Fashion Week at Chickasaw Oaks Village. Although it was a shopping party benefiting the Memphis Fashion Fund + EMDP, the layout of the mall allowed it to be a pretty intimate setting, so you could chat with everyone while still getting your shop on.
