1 Per Diem is a handbag and jewelry line created by Philippines-born designer Vanessa Espinosa. After a career in diplomacy in Washington, D.C., Espinosa relocated to New York in 2005 to pursue more creative endeavors.
After graduating from FIT, she gained experience in various sectors of the industry, working for various brands including Comme des Garcons and Issey Miyake.
Inspired by city living and wanderlust, Espinosa designed a line that is both functional and timeless, going for an aesthetic that’s a perfect balance of “rustic-luxe”. With handbags created from the finest Italian leather and jewelry made from industrial materials including leather, copper, and brass, 1 Per Diem encompasses both the primitiveness and uniqueness of New York City Streets.

My top picks? The Essex tote, Bond clutch, Open Cuff, and the Weeping Willow Necklace. I love statement jewelry that packs a punch and handbags that can go the distance. Anything from this collection would pair well with a leather jacket, denim, or as a great accessory to add texture to your look.

If I can get dressed and out the door in 45 minutes or less, it’s gonna be a good day. I have my morning routine for sure, but I also look for clothing that I can mix together regardless of the season so that I can get cute, but get it done quickly without having to really think about it, lol.
This week our temps are officially moving into the 80s (goodbye Spring), so it’s time to pack up all of my lightweight pieces, like this patterned silk bomber.
I’ve been wanting a velvet midi skirt for a while, so when I stumbled upon this perfect one from Francesca’s a few weeks back, I got it in not one but TWO colors.
