Summer is here, and while fashion trends come and go (and come back around again), there will always be certain accessories and items that will always be a staple for the season.
While we won’t be out and about like we usually are during the Summer (thanks Corona), we STILL have to adjust our wardrobes accordingly because, well, it’s hot outside, lol. Our footwear is included in this change, so I wanted to do a roundup up Summer Sandals for the season.
I bought my first pair of Converse last year, but you could never mistake me for a sneakerhead. When I tried on this snakeskin print shirt dress from Southern Muse, however, I knew that I needed to get my Sporty Spice on and pair it with sneakers.
I’m not one for outdoor activities (I stopped looking forward to Summer once I became an adult and no longer enjoyed Summer breaks, lol), but a picnic in the park? Sign me up.
I will always be true to who I am, so I’ve spent the last few weeks honestly trying to figure out what my role is in all of this as I move forward as a blogger. I’m blessed to have a platform, so I really wanted to define how it could best be used at this time.
I told myself that I wasn’t going to drink the influencer kool-aid and get new lounge wear, but over the weekend I couldn’t resist.
So we got the word that Memphis is going to start back “opening up” officially next week, and while I’m still going to eeeease into going back to my pre-covid 19 schedule, I am looking forward to life eventually going back to normal (whatever that may be) again.
Last Spring I was invited to participate in a styled shoot coordinated by Designs By LRH + Lemon Events. It was a shoot to highlight the creative direction and floral design of both companies, and was finally published this year in I Do Ya’ll Magazine Winter 2020 Issue, so I wanted to share some additional photos from the shoot and a cool promo video that my friend Michael shot during the session.
