City Style | Memphis Fashion Week Day 2
On the second night of shows for Memphis Fashion Week, I wanted to focus on the crowd, so I got there a little early with my camera so that I could snap a few city style shots. It was held at the General Dewitt Spain Airport (the runway was built between a few WW2 planes in a hanger), and although the lighting wasn’t quite what I needed (I HAAAAATE using flash, but I’m going to bite the bullet and get an external one for future events), I was still able to get a few shots in.
Our fashion community is growing, and events like this make dressing up so much more fun!
To me, this is the quintessential, metropolitan “on the town” outfit. I wear dresses (and even wore one that night!) but a well-fitting blazer, leather leggings + an interesting top is a super easy look that’s both chic and will get you out the door.
Freeze models, wearing looks from Indigo, a contemporary women’s boutique in Germantown.

All in all it was a fantastic night!

What an interesting and cool place for a fashion show, although I know what you mean about not having the right lighting! That can be very frustrating especially when you have an opportunity for some great shots. Looks like it was a lot of fun though!

p.s. Love the color of your shoes!
Yes! It was a really cool setup but the lighting posed an issue. I’m glad I got there when I did.
And thank you about the shoes! I almost didn’t buy them when I found them last year bc I wasn’t sure what to wear with them them but I’m so glad I did!
