Floral Maxi Dress

I used to shy away from maxi dresses thinking I was too short for them until I found one that actually fit right. Now? You can’t keep me out of them.

One of my clients had a blogger event last week and I wanted to wear something cute and comfy so that I could float around + both mingle and take pictures when needed. Target just got in their new Fall collection, and I fell in love with this floral smocked off the shoulder maxi dress as soon as I slipped it on. The smocking at the top allowed it to hold a shape (too much fabric on a short person can be overpowering), and the slits in the front kept me from tripping all over myself as I walked.

It’s designed to be off the should but I preferred it up higher. I just paired it with simple flat sandals, my new gold cuff bracelet + necklace from J.Crew Factory (loved the little pop of color it added) and hoops.

I got soooo many compliments on the dress throughout the day. Because of its shape, I can top it with an oversized sweater and booties when it gets cold. Another versatile piece FTW!
