We all know about the traditional seasons of Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, but when it comes to fashion, let’s not forget that very brief but very eventful season: Holiday.
Starting the 3rd week in November through the the new year (literally), there is party after party…after party. The little black dress is always an easy number to rely on but if you want to add a little more glamour and fun to your nights out on the town, you MUST invest in some fun party dresses. Color is your friend (jewel tones & bright red pop great against the skin); and also think about the finish (mesh, satin, silk) and embellishments (sparkly sequins or rhinestones) to make your look stand out.
There are so many great dresses to choose from, but I’ve found some cute, elegant, and fun looks to make it easier for you (or use for inspiration when shopping). The most awesome part? You don’t have to break the bank to look good (prices run as low as $20!)
I bought my first pair of Converse last year, but you could never mistake me for a sneakerhead. When I tried on this snakeskin print shirt dress from Southern Muse, however, I knew that I needed to get my Sporty Spice on and pair it with sneakers.
While I doubt I will ever fully follow the capsule collection craze, I have enjoyed streamlining my closet and investing in pieces that are classic yet still versatile. Cardigans will forever be a staple, and I’m loving the shawl collar on this cozy cardigan from Karen Kane.
Memphis Jewelry Designer Lauren Carlson (Question the Answer) will be hosting an open house at her new studio on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 11a-4p…
A fun evening of networking, it was an opportunity for both corporate + creative women to come together to have candid discussion about what it takes to be a business owner, and also the obstacles we may face when moving up the corporate ladder.
LOVE the color of that first dress! ASOS makes the best party-wear!
