Must See | Bijoux Parisiens Exhibit at The Dixon

Amethyst and gold
A few weeks ago, I finally had some REAL free time (no work, no photoshoots, just time for fun) and after a viewing of Baz Lurhmann’s The Great Gatsby, I went by The Dixon Gallery & Gardens to see Bijoux parisiens: French Jewelry from the Petit Palais, Paris, one of their newest exhibits.
Showcasing French jewelry from the seventeenth to the twentieth jewelry with styles from Neoclassicism through Art Deco, the exhibit includes an extensive collection from the Petit Palais in Paris, one of Frances greatest art museums. In addition to the opulent bijoux, there are over 200 paintings, fashion prints, and photographs on display, so the exhibit provided me with some much needed inspiration.

After the exhibit there was a showing of Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris, so my day was complete! The exhibit runs through Sunday, July 21, 2013. Whether you are a creative in the fashion industry or just a fan, it’s definitely a must see!
