#NowAtMem Art, Eats, and a Quick Pause at Memphis International Airport
Next time you’re flying out of Memphis International Airport (MEM), give yourself a minute to slow down, walk around the concourse to check out the local art, and grab yourself something good to eat from one of the local (and Airport only!) eateries; there are some sweet little gems to take in if you have the time!

Thanks to the Arts in the Airport Program (in collaboration with UrbanArt Commission), local artists, students, photographers are able to have their work displayed at MEM throughout the concourse and in baggage claim. As a born and raised Memphian, it feels good to see so much of the city’s talent represented in such a creative way. Everywhere you turn you’ll spot amazing murals, photographs, and paintings throughout the airport. It’s such a treat for visitors to the city!

And because travel calories don’t count, lol, be sure to skip over the chains and stop by one of the local eateries for a quick bite; Stage Left Pizza, Bar & Grille has one of the most amazing salmon sandwiches I’ve ever tasted! The fries were seasoned juuuuust right, and service is quick so it’s perfect for a grab and go type situation. I also tried their Pretty Woman cocktail, which is prosecco-based, light, and fun. They also offer a few flavors of gelato from Sweet Magnolia (another local favorite), so it’s easy to get a yummy meal whether you’re coming or going.

From local artwork to delicious sips and bites, there’s always a good reason to slow down the next time you’re coming through Memphis International Airport!
