Last Friday was a night filled with art, culture, and fashion. I attended the preview of the new African-Print Fashion Now! A Story of Taste, Globalization, and Style Exhibit at The Brooks Museum.
I've always liked the look of thigh high boots but never owned any for myself til I picked up this pair last November from local boutique Southern Muse. I wasn't sure if the style would look right on me since I'm so short, but as soon as I tried them on I knew I had to take them home.
We got a taste of early Spring weather last week (after freezing cold + snow) and it immediately ignited that Spring shopping itch. It was premature because the temps have dropped back down, but that hasn't stopped me from hunting for new clothes, lol.
I ordered my first pair of Quay Australia sunnies back in December and I was instantly OBSESSED. Normally I just get sunnies from Target or Old Navy, so these are a bit more expensive but they're not crazy high so I feel comfortable investing in a few more pairs.

So I'm that person that buys something, holds it in my closet forever, and THEN can't stop wearing it once I start. I bought this pair of flare denim over a year ago but kept them in my dresser because I wanted to get them hemmed. One day I said eff it, had them cut and now....it's so hard for me to go back to my skinnies, lol.

Designed with an open floor plan and community seating, the picturesque space is the perfect spot for both quick meetings with fellow creatives, and chill time with your favorite book and cup of joe.
It's always fun seeing your creative peers come full circle in their work. Back in 2014, Kristin Wolter-Canfield of Everbloom Designs held a floral design workshop that I covered for the blog, and this month, she's finally opening her own studio! Take a peek at her Creative Space.
