Ruffle-Sleeve Floral Dress

Lately I’ve found myself drawn to the more simple, chic styles of UK-based bloggers, so whenever I go shopping (which has been a bit too much lately, shhhh…) I now look for versatile pieces that also have a fun detail. I’ve noticed that even if they shop high-street, the pieces tend to be classic with a twist and that’s right up my alley. Florals will never get old for me, and I can’t get enough of this ruffle-sleeve floral dress that I found at Old Navy. It had a very UK blogger vibe to me so obviously I had to take it home, lol.

I found this pretty little number the same day that I got the denim I wore in this post; I actually was headed to checkout when it caught my eye. The ruffle-sleeves kept it from being boring, and because it’s more neutral in color, I can actually have a little fun with my accessories when I want. It’s the perfect dress that can be worn from work to dinner, so no matter if you work in an office or a more creative field, it can be one of those “one and done” pieces if you have a particularly busy day.

I wore a neutral heel with it, but the white booties that I wore here will also pair well, and I can also layer it under chunky cardigans and sweaters. I thought about doing a statement necklace but decided on my Kendra Scott necklace that I designed using their Color Bar instead.

Even though I’m a blogger and I like to shop, I am NOT a shopaholic, so I tend to go to the same 10 or so retailers for clothes because I know that I will always find something that I like, and that I won’t have an issue with fit. I’m much more intentional when I shop now, so instead of losing my mind when I go to a store, I tend to find 1-4 pieces that fit my needs and leave. I like trying out new brands here and there but I will always have those tried and true brands that work well no matter what.
