#Staycation Ready | Homewood Suites by Hilton Memphis-Germantown
The last few weeks have been super busy with client work, so when Homewood Suites by Hilton Memphis-Germantown invited me to do a mini staycation, it was an immediate hell yea! They’re almost done with their renovations, so I was looking forward to relaxing in the updated suites for a few days.

So at their location, all of the rooms are cozy suites and feature fully equipped kitchens. They also have a 24-hour fitness center, a business center, pool, pet-friendly rooms, offer complimentary wifi and on-the-go breakfast, have a gift/snack shop, and you can relax by a fire in the lobby if you like. Basically, if I didn’t want to leave the site for 2 days, I didn’t have to.

The first night that I was there, I checked in, grabbed some snacks, slipped on cozy socks (their team left me a cute little gift basket with treats), sipped tea, worked on a puzzle and watched one of my favorite movies, Vicky Christina Barcelona. It was so nice being able to just relax and not worry about doing any chores or computer work (like I’d do at home). I could just freely decompress and enjoy the night in.

I had a mani/pedi appointment the next morning at Nail Bar & Co at Saddle Creek (it’s only 5 minutes away), so I was able to sleep in a bit before heading over. That night I was heading to The Orpheum to see The Notebook with my sister-in-law, so once I was done with my pampering, I grabbed a latte and headed back to my room to relax, read magazines, and just chill and listen to music (I’m currently obsessed with Olivia Dean’s new album).

While the drive back from Downtown that evening was a little further than usual, it was a quick and easy shot to the hotel. I decided to stay up late and watch movies in bed (when’s the last time you’ve seen Fright Night?), but I was able to get up just in time to grab breakfast before it was over. They are known for their breakfast tacos, but if mini waffles are on the menu, I’m always going for that! Ha!

After breakfast, I still had a little time before checkout, so I went back to read a bit before packing up and heading out (thank goodness for a noon checkout!). The Front Desk staff was so friendly and kind, and checking in and out was a breeze. It was truly the break that I needed. The only thing missing was time by the pool, but cold temps and rain arrived 2 days prior so I wasn’t able to sit out and enjoy it. BUT, that just means that I need to go back when it warms up!

Thank you to the Homewood Suites team for this much-needed break. If you’re interested in learning more about Homewood Suites by Hilton Memphis-Germantown and/or booking your own staycation, click here!

I’ve been wanting to do a Germantown or Collierville staycation to check out some of the newer restaurants and maybe a show at GPAC or Neshoba. Also interested in it as a writing retreat but also including the entertainment and food excursions. Thanks for sharing this.
you’re so welcome! I think it would be great for a writing retreat. There’s seating in the lobby area that’s perfect for small gatherings, and when the weather is nice you can sit outside near the pool. It’s very cozy and close to so much.
Hello Elle!

I love this! The hotel looks great and it’s the perfect time in the calendar for a fall relaxation moment before the holiday season starts.
yes it was perfect! I had other stuff planned but I wish I would’ve had a day where I didn’t have to leave at all because it was so cozy.
