Summer Florals // Distressed Denim

I’ve always loved the look of a silky, fancy-ish blouse with distressed denim. It helps to ground the piece while also elevating the denim, so that you have a casual/cool slightly urban look.

When I saw this top at Forever 21 I just had to have it (if they’d had more styles I would’ve bought them all), and these are my favorite pair of distressed skinnies from Old Navy. They’re seriously my go-to for denim. It’s hard to find my length sometimes (I need ankle; otherwise I cuff or tuck under) but they fit so good!

Strappy rose gold sandals  with a chunky heel (SUPER comfy) complete the look.

Also finally got my hands on one of Madewell’s Mini Transport Totes. I don’t know what it is about tan handbags but I keep replacing each one with similar styles, just different textures. This one is constructed quite well. It’s not as big as the hobo style I was carrying, but that’s actually a good thing (forces me to streamline things, lol).

My top was only $16; below are some options if you’re looking to add some to your wardrobe. You can wear them with denim and heels like I did  or to work with a classic pencil skirt or trousers (versatility FTW!).
