Last week during my weekly jaunt to Ulta (I’m seriously becoming obsessed with this place. My heart will forever be with Target but Ulta offers colors and products that I can’t always find), I stumbled upon Maybelline’s Eyestudio Master Shape Brow Pencil right before I headed to the checkout.
As I mentioned here, I’m forever working on obtaining perfect brows, so I’m always looking for products that fill and darken where needed without smudging as the day goes on or making me look like a stand-in for Oscar the Grouch.
Sorry Oscar, but the brows are all wrong.
Made with a natural wax formula and subtle color pigment, I was able to achieve the look I wanted without my brows looking too heavy. Offered in 4 shades (blonde, soft brown, deep brown, and auburn), I went with the deep brown; a dark haired brunette, I like my brows defined but not too heavy, especially on days when all I want to wear is mascara and a bold lip. Be sure to keep the tip sharp so that application remains light; if it becomes too rounded, as with any pencil, you may apply too much.
It comes with a refined groomer on the other end so brush brows in place before you “set” with the pencil. I knew that I’d chosen a good product when I asked my best friend if she noticed a difference in my brows and she said she did, but she couldn’t quite place what the difference was (BUT, they looked good).
Best thing about it? It’s only $7.99! As someone who likes beauty on a budget, this was right up my alley.

Everyone wants glowing, radiant skin, and while achieving it during the Summer is a bit easier, maintaining it during the colder months doesn’t have to…
I have my tried and true go to beauty looks, but I love when Summer rolls around because you can inject a little more color into your every day routine to make it a bit more playful. I received products from Clarin’s new Sunkissed Summer Collection and it was just the color boost my makeup bag needed.
I’ve been wanting to try the wine lip trend for a while but I hadn’t been able to find one that was flattering. I’ve been a fan of Revlon’s Matte Lipsticks for a while (strong colors look best on me when the formula is matte) however I decided to try the Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry, even though it was a creme.
In February, NARS released their Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer ($42), a new formula designed to provide a sheer base, but also give SPF (30) coverage…
I can never leave my house unless I put on two things: jewelry and perfume. Even if I’m wearing sweats to run an errand, I’ll still put on a pair of hoops or studs, and I never feel “done” unless I have on a fragrance.
I love the product too! But how do i get more of it out. I bought it, but how does more come out. U mention keeping the tip sharp, how do we do that? since its like a pen?

You can actually sharpen it! I was wondering the same thing as well due to it feeling like a pen but it sharpens fairly easily. I haven’t been able to get it as sharp as it was when it was new but the good thing is, you dont lose a lot of product when you sharpen it.
