Fall is my favorite time of year, especially when it comes to beauty. Because it’s cooler outside, I can go heavier and more experimental with my makeup, so a dark and moody smoky eye is always fun. KVD Vegan Beauty is now available at Ulta, and as part of the UB Collective, I received some items from their line to create a look with. I went for a monochromatic smoky eye + lip, which paired perfectly with black knit dress and celestial earrings I got from Flatwoods Fawn last year.
Products used (all are KVD Vegan Beauty):
- Lock-It Foundation
- Shade + Light Refillable Face Contour Palette
- Go Big or Go Home Volumizing Mascara
- Super Pomade Vegan Eyeliner, Shadow & Brow Pigment in Aubergine + Walnut
- Cake Pencil in Mad Max Brown
- Tattoo Liner in Trooper Black
- Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
- Everlasting Lip Liner in Hawkwind
They’re known for their longwearing, highly pigmented, high performance makeup, so I didn’t have to worry about my makeup smudging throughout the day. Outside of the mascara (which, I have oily eyelids and have only found 3 that work well for me), my makeup still looked good the end of the day.
All of the products are 100% vegan + cruelty-free as well, so it’s a great brand to try if you’re interested in using conscious products, but still want to have some fun with your makeup looks. Also? I understand the hype behind the Lolita liquid lipstick and why it’s always sold out. It’s such a pretty nude shade.

Amazing make over. The foundation is really good because it blended nicely and also suited your skin. Most of the foundation that I have used is either non suitable or does not mix well with the skin. I have oily skin and I still do not understand which foundation should I use that will not get smashed with my skin oil. I have used some liquid matte foundation from wet and wild that seemed to be nice but after some hours of work outside the nose surface begin to get washed away. Please tell me what foundation should I use for my oily skin?.

I have oily skin and this worked pretty well on mine. I also really like Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless, and NARS Radiant Foundation. Not sure if you use a primer but Rimmel’s Stay Matte Primer has been my go-to for years.
