When the seasons change, not only do I start thinking about my fashion looks for the upcoming season, I also start thinking about my beauty looks as well. Fall is probably the most romantic season to me. I know that Spring traditionally carries that title because of blossoming flowers, pastel colors and sunny days but in my book, Fall is the real winner. Why? Think about it: Cooler weather = warm blankets and jackets, hot cocoa, walks in the parks holding hands (watching the leaves change), earlier nights, snuggling in front of a fireplace, etc. The list goes on. Well with all of that snuggling and romance, why not play up your pout (because who doesn’t desire to be more kissable, lol) with a pretty red lip?
Some people associate red lipstick with being a rocker chick and having wild nights but I think a bold red lip paired with a fresh, minimalist face is a fun alternative to the traditional smokey-eye and nude lip look.

Lush lashes + defined brows + slightly flushed cheeks + a bold red lip = classic beauty
So now I’m on the hunt for the perfect red (not all are created equal). Your skin’s undertones (warm, or cool) are the deciding factor on which red will be best for you so choose wisely.
Warm (yellow or olive undertones) look best with brick-red or fire engine red hues.
Cool (pink or reddish undertones) look best with cherry or wine hues.
*There are also a few reds that are true in color, which means anybody can wear them.
I’ve been using e.l.f. Cosmetics products for years, so I was pretty pleased to receive their BeautyVoxBox to review from Influenster. Included in the box where both skincare and makeup products, which is the best of both worlds for a product junkie.
(Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions are my own). To prevent constant burnout, I started being a little more intentional with how I spent my “free” hours, and one thing was to make sure I took time out to pamper myself.
Testing out new skincare products is always fun for me, and over the Thanksgiving holiday I tested Ode to Self Skincare’s De Palma Hydrating + Clarifying Facial Oil and Urban Skin RxTM’s Combination Skin Cleansing Bar.
I’ve never owned anything with a fruit pattern but when I saw this Ella Moon Ladder Swing Blouse with lemon print via Shopbop’s site, I knew I had to have it.
It’s been a while since I’ve done a product review and YSL Beauty sent me some PR with a few of their beauty products, so I wanted to share here since it’s my first time ever using their makeup.
