Like most women, when the temperature begins rising, I start leaning towards a “less is more” approach when it comes to my makeup routine. It gets super humid here in Memphis so the last thing that I want to do is feel makeup sliding off my face, so usually I forego foundation unless it’s for a special occasion, or I wear a tinted moisturizer.
The super lightweight formula glides onto skin so you feel nothing once you apply it, but it’s buildable, so if you do want a little more coverage, you can achieve it without the heaviness that you usually get from foundation, leaving you with an airbrushed finish. I switched out the liquid foundation that I normally wear for a few days and have been pleased with the results.
TIP:
For most applications, you will only need a walnut size amount. You can spray it on the back of your hand but because I don’t like a mess, I spray it directly onto my flat brush, dot it on various points of my face, and then blend. It does dry fairly quickly, so make sure that you always apply moisturizer first so that you don’t have dry patches. I tested a shade darker than I normally wear (I tan in the summer), but the difference was subtle so I looked like I had a healthy glow. It comes in 12 shades so depending on if you tan or not in the summer, you should be able to find a good match!
I’ve always been a DIY type of girl when it comes to beauty treatments. Hair, nails, skincare-I learned how to do it all on my own (I mean, it’s FUN), but I don’t always have time to indulge at home. I’ll always do my own hair + face masks, but thankfully, my bestie is a nail tech, and I’m teaming up with European Wax Center to help me keep my brows and other grooming needs in check!
Liquid lipsticks are all the rage right now, but sometimes, a girl just needs a good ole gloss. I recently *received Mally Beauty’s new H3 Lip Gloss, a weightloss gloss that’s designed to hydrate and moisture lips while leaving a patent, glossy finish, and they instantly became permanent fixtures in my daily makeup bag.
One of the cool perks of being a blogger is that on occasion, you get to *sample products from various companies that partner with blogger networks. Such is…
Glassy makeup is all about achieving that dewy, lit from within look with a focus on cheeks, lips and skin. I typically love a matte finish when it comes to my makeup, but this Spring I want aaaall the glow.
I’m a sucker for a creamy concealer, so I recently picked up the Sephora Collection Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer ($14), their latest concealer that’s…
